Cinderella, originally written for television in 1957, starred Julie Andrews. It became the most widely viewed program in history. Later re-creations included the 1965 production starring Lesley Ann Warren, and the most recent 1997 TV production starring Brandy and Whitney Houston. In all, generations of audiences have been able to watch one girl’s dreams come true both on television and stage. As Cinderella’s Godmother says, “Impossible things are happening every day!”
