On Golden Pond
Written by Ernest Thompson
A touching comedy directed by Donald Babbitt
Production Dates: September 24, 25, 26 & October 1, 2, 3, 2004
This is the love story of Ethel and Norman Thayer, who are returning to their summer home on Golden Pond for the forty-fourth year. They are visited by their divorced, middle-aged daughter and her dentist fiancé, who then go off to Europe, leaving his teenage son behind for the summer.
The boy quickly becomes the "grandchild" the elderly couple have longed for, and as Norman revels in taking his ward fishing and thrusting good books at him, he also learns some lessons about modern teenage awareness – and slang – in return. A very witty, sensitive play.

AMAHL: The time of the opera is at the birth of Christ and centers around a young crippled shepherd boy and his visit by the three wise men on their way to Bethlehem. The story tells of the Three Kings following the star who stop for shelter at the home of Amahl, who lives in poverty with his widowed mother. Inspired by the wise men, Amahl offers his own simple gift to the Christ Child and then a miracle happens. This is a warm and compassionate story truly capturing the essential spirit of Christmas.
CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR: The season would not be complete without the sounds of beautiful voices singing those familiar holiday tunes. The evening’s entertainment will include a lineup of familiar faces as well as surprise guests.
