Theatre Works Elects New Board, Sets Plays for 20th Season

WOONSOCKET - Theatre Works, located at 78 Earle St., entered its 20th season by electing a new board of directors and, announcing a season of all-time theater-goers' favorites.
The general membership elected Evelyn Zifcak president for a third time. Zifcak is no stranger to the position having been the theater's first president in 1983.
Maurice Cournoyer serves as this year's vice president and has served as president in the past.
Greg Bonin will be serving as the company's treasurer and has held this position for the last two years.
Jan Cournoyer was named recording secretary, while Connie Anderson, who has acted in many productions, will serve as corresponding secretary.
Serving as one of three counselors is Paul Adam who has been stage manger and director over the past four years. Adam also serves as the theater's publicity chairman.
Marge Conte of Warwick and Mark Anderson of Woonsocket. will also be counselors.
Rounding off the board are Bert Cayer Jr and Diane Pope, serving in board-appointed positions.
Cayer returns to the board for a second term as the play selection committee chairman. Pope also is serving her second term on the board as the theater's librarian.
The 2002-03 season opens with "Arsenic & Old Lace" in September followed by "Annie" in November. "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to the Forum" will be offered in March followed by "God's Favorite" to end the season in May.
